El sitio OpenCulture realizó una compilación de 500 películas que es posible ver gratuita y legalmente por en línea. En muchos casos  se trata de obras cuya propiedad intelectual ha caducado en otros simplemente sus creadores han decidido ponerlas libremente en la Web.
